. Parasols are not umbrellas, they will not keep the rain off and they are not as sturdy. Dance teachers know they are notorious for breaking if you are not careful. They are a wooden dowel with a wooden handle. They are for stage use. I am showing you the underside of the bell so you can see. Even though in their defense they are better than many I have bought from other suppliers. These retailed to dance teachers for $7. They have never been used or taken out of the box except to take the photo of them.  I am not selling them individually. The model shot is showing them with a raincoat dance costume that is not included (though I have them listed)hrstrlr
